Button Release Note
I added a long awaited feature of ability to remap Camera and Call key in 1.2.0. It is still buggy and limited to only 2 keys. I will put my focus to address them in next version.
(1) Ability to remap some keys to customized shortcuts.

I enjoy using Button Savior. I think it could even better if the buttons didn’t disappear so quickly. Currently the maximum is 30 seconds. I’d prefer several minutes or even a way to toggle them as permanently on.

I’d like to buy the key for the Pro version so I can reassign or hide some of the buttons. I’m using a B&N nook tablet which is not a certified Android device so I am unable to purchase it from the Google Android App store.
Is there an alternate method of payment so I can purchase the key? Do you have any feedback from other users that have used this software with the B&N nook readers/tablets?

Sorry for my very late reply. I was working on a CES demo project in my daytime job day and night. So was not able to care about my market stuff. Now finally free. If you are still interested to get the key, you can paypal $1.59 to my paypal account at firstname.lastname@example.org. Then hit me an email. I will send the key to you.

Hi, I’m a huge fan of this app and have used it on my HD2 since you first posted it on xda. I bought the pro version first time I saw it in the market to help support development and have not been disappointed. I love all the features that have been added since the first release.
Even though its already a 5 star app to me, there’s a couple features I would love to see added eventually …
1. Have soft button sizes adjustable…. I would prefer to have them a little bigger. An adjustable trigger size would be great, too.
2. Have the (X) button which closes the button bar made so it can be put in different positions on button bar like the other buttons in pro version… so it can be set at end of bar instead of front.
3. It would be cool if you had more themes for trigger and if you could set trigger theme separately from button themes.
If those features can ever be added, this app would pretty much be perfect.
Thanks for making this great app

Awesome! This app will get good once you can map the home key function to the camera button!

Hi, your app is great, how can you do it ? I mean is a program or is something about the hardware… because my problem is that my xperia x10 gets wet and the only button that doesn’t work is the back button so I can’t update with the last firmware because is need it. I don’t know if is possible to change the order of the buttons functions physically… I mean that the middle button (HOME) be now the back button … but anyway if you have some ideas let me know …

Button Savior works only under Android enviroment. Other than that enviromnent such as bootloader or recovery mode, key mapping is fully controlled by internal driver. So there is no way to fix that issue. Sorry about that.

I just bought and installed the pro version. There is some problem, the back and the power button are not working, what I can do ?
Dec 31, 2011 @ 17:18:47
Are you only have problem with back and power? How about search and menu? Normally if you have problem with back key, you should also have problem with menu and search. Please let me know if it is the case. If it is the case, then you need to update your superuser and su.

Great fan of your app, bought the pro key to support your work.
Only function I miss is a long press home button action that don’t trigger your version of latest used apps, or at least would be grate to have an option to disable/enable that behaviour so I could use the long press home button action with other apps.
Sorry for my english!

I have the same problem on my HD2 Android 4.0 ICS. Don’t work “back” and “switch off”. Other keys work great. In android 2.3 all works good. I saw the same problem on 4pda forum

I bought the pro version to save my hard buttons from Angry birds. It worked exactly the way i hoped. Also was very pleased to find map- phone function works after last update! I use it to shut off the tablet which has no phone function.. keep up the great work
